What is frame board management? What do I do for my clients?

Here’s a brief, generalized idea. Everyone’s situation will be differently handled and tailored to your office.
Evaluate your product.
-Put things in categories: price point, style, how many brands you carry, etc.
-What is not moving? Put those frames aside.
-What is your price range?
-What category are you missing?
-Do you have too many brands? Most store sizes cannot handle more than 8-10 active brands.
Plan
-What brands need to go?
-How do we get rid of dead product?
-How do we end certain frame brand relationships without killing the rep relationship? This is VITAL, never kill the rep relationship. You never know when you’ll cross paths again.
-What’s the right amount of frames in your store?
-What’s the right amount of brands?
-What categories are you missing?
-How do we fill these categories?
There’s a lot more to it, but that is a VERY vague idea of the details I get into when I help do frame management.
