Tonight is the night! New York Kitchen's Garden Party is in full swing. To support this great cause, the crew at Wineries Without Walls compiled a selection of wines for the online auction. Right now, this 8-bottle bundle is a steal at $150 (valued at over $250). Don't miss out!

Are rules meant to be broken? Well…apparently. When I launched Little Clover, I made myself a rule: estate fruit only. I wanted to shine a light on the quality and history of my husband’s family vineyard at Lakewood Farms. And I still do.

But then I got a bit obsessed with the idea of making a cuvée from two heritage grapes: Delaware and Catawba. The catch? Lakewood pulled its Catawba vines after the 2014 harvest. So, for the first time ever, Little Clover is sourcing fruit from a vineyard on Keuka Lake.

And just like that, I broke two Little Clover rules with the 2025 vintage: my first non-estate fruit and my first sparkling blend.

I tasted the base wine and, well, let's just say I’m not sorry. Now it gets to hang out on the lees for a few years while I figure out what to call this beautiful little rule-breaker. Suggestions welcome.

The heart of summer is here, and July welcomed a whirlwind of wine fairs and pop-ups across New York.

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of pouring at the inaugural Atlantis Wine Fair at Rose Hill Farms in Red Hook. It was beautifully organized, and the energy from both the producers and guests made the day feel special.

After the event, my daughter and I turned our "weekend" (Monday–Tuesday) into a little Hudson Valley adventure. We wandered through Opus 40, treated ourselves to Alleyway Ice Cream, and caught a matinee of OKLAHOMA! at the Glimmerglass Opera House. Driving from destination to destination, I found myself constantly struck by the beauty of the landscape. Every turn seemed to offer another reminder of just how extraordinary New York is.

I came home refreshed... well, maybe not refreshed--I always crave a buffer day--but certainly re-inspired. Feeling incredibly grateful to live, work, and produce wine in this remarkable state.

I ❤️ NY

One of the best parts of Little Clover is the constant exploration. For the 2022 Delaware, I'm trying something new: for the first time, I'm disgorging the entire vintage (74 cases) at once. In the past, I've split dosage into batches to watch the wine evolve, but this time, I’m so completely in love with the fruit at this moment, I want to capture it exactly as it is.

Today we tasted through dosage trials for the 2022 Delaware and landed back on the sweetness level from the original 2018 vintage. We also tasted a Brut Nature 2022 Delaware. While it won't wear the Little Clover label, it was fascinating to watch it open in the glass, revealing fresh-picked red fruit with a crisp, snappy finish. Dave and I happily polished off the bottle with dinner.

Can't wait to share the finished 2022 Delaware with you! Coming soon...

July is here, but before we head into the heart (and heat) of summer, I need to give June its flowers.

June was Little Clover's biggest June yet. Momentum is building, bubbles are flowing, and none of it happens without you. Your support is appreciated, seen, and felt. Some highlights from June:

* Speaking alongside a panel of rockstars at FLXcursion
*Pouring at Schuyler County's first-ever Pride Celebration
*Serving bubbles to commuters and visitors at Grand Central Terminal in NYC
*Popping up a tent—and popping bottles—at Tamarack Ridge Farm
*Launching two new farmers market stops in Watkins Glen and Trumansburg

July, we’re ready for you!

When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
— First Witch, Macbeth

Thank you to everyone who attended Saturday’s collaborative tasting at Tamarack Ridge Farm LLC . As cars pulled in, people would hop out, smile at Anne (the hot sauce lady) and me, and say, “I need to say hi to Ellen, and then I’ll come out and taste.”

It was invigorating to be surrounded by people who chose to spend their time and money with three women-owned businesses. Our actions shape the world around us, and Saturday was a reminder that generosity, curiosity, and enthusiasm still have a touch of magic about them.

Bewitching indeed.
