People often say that there should be constructive criticism or that one should accept criticism to improve. Charlie Munger, one of the best investors of recent times, explains in this video that no one likes criticism. He illustrated this with an example of Warren Buffet, who once criticized common practices he deemed dirty, dishonest, and negligent on over-the-counter (OTC) market. The individuals involved who were practicing the same began to hate him in response and criticized him in return. If they can't do it publicly, they criticize privately. So, it all comes down to your ability to handle criticism.
I observe that people who criticize others often can't handle it if you criticize them. A person who can handle criticism generally doesn't criticize others because they know how much courage it takes to accept other people's opinions, correct yourself if you are wrong, or at least do a self-analysis and learn if there is something wrong.
