Happy Friday! I had heard about local filmmaker Michael Glover Smith for years and finally got the chance to work with him on the Chicago premiere of his new film HEKLA, starring the adorable and charismatic Elizabeth Stam. Here they are chatting up the film on WGN Morning News, Chicago’s #1 morning show.

The show was hesitant at first to book a couple of relative unknowns, but we found our angle and — voila! Always satisfying when a pitch breaks through. Happy to help, and good luck with the film!!

Sharing more publicity from DOC10! Despite the ever shrinking media landscape, it was another banner year. We definitely found our voice and it clearly resonated. Really proud of the coverage and conversations the festival generated across the city!
