5"s. Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain. These are the areas to work on, but what is 5"s? How to define it? Sadly some experienced Lean professionals define it as HOUSEKEEPING. Keeping a well organized work are is good but it doesn't matter if it doesn't support process flow.
5"s is a Lean tool that supports the application and/or implementation of the methodology in every step of the process.

What 12 years ago were just thought, became a dream and then a goal ( to be a process consultant). My passion for Lean methodology guided me to do a lot of reading an have formal training while I was gaining experience in different processes then I became Six Sigma Black Belt. Now a dream came true and a new journey begins. The goal is to bring to small companies a tool to be more efficient and more profitable through the Lean Initiative; a 6 to 10 weeks program designed to implement Lean Manufacturing while setting the bases to implement Six Sigma.
