Tonight we kicked off Q2, the E:Establishing Balance quarter.
Here is a note from our masterclass.
Here is our Kingdom operating system (KOS) System Check.
In Q1, we defined the internal processor as your operational intelligence (used the analogy of a computer). It’s the part of your system that handles decision-making. If your processor is over-clocked and overheating, the whole business slows down. Just like to keep a computer running smoothly, you have to run a system check on your soul to see if you are actually operating in Kingdom balance.
Below are a few questions you can ask yourself as you run a system check:
1. Do I trust God enough to cease from my daily responsibilities? Most kingdom entrepreneurs say they trust God, but their calendar says they trust their own effort. If you feel like the world will stop spinning if you don’t check your email on Sunday, you don’t have a productivity problem—you have a trust problem. You are acting as the "Source" rather than the "Steward."
2. What do I have an issue letting go of? Is it the control of how everything will turn out? Is it the fear that a competitor will outwork you? Identify the specific task you find hardest to stop. That is usually the area where you’ve replaced God’s provision with your own hustle. Sabbath is the tool that breaks that stronghold.
3. Do I have fractured focus? In the marketplace, we call this multi-tasking. We are working on multiple businesses at one time and we become a jack of all trades and a master of none. What this does is fractured our focus from building one business successfully and using it as a blueprint for the thers. In the Kingdom, it becomes anxiety because we become anxious about the mechanics of everything. Another measure of fractured focus is if you are with your family but thinking about a contract, or in prayer but thinking about a lead, your system is leaking energy. Sabbath trains your brain to have single-eye focus.
4. Does my mind rest when I lie down to sleep? This is the ultimate test of your operating system. If you lie down and your mind is still processing P&L statements, fire-fighting issues, or thinking about what you did or did not do, your system (mind) hasn't actually entered Sabbath. True rest isn’t just the absence of work; it’s the presence of peace. If your mind is racing, you are still working in the spirit, even if your hands are still.
