Every once in a while I get to do magic somewhere completely different.

Prom season holds one of those nights.

And the reaction you see in this video is exactly why I love doing it. Her screaming "WHAT?" proves I gave her a magical experience that she is not going to forget anytime soon.

It was a special night for these high school seniors and a special night for me too, because I made it more magical.

Food Safety Summit 2026. Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Wednesday and Thursday.

Catch me at the ProCleaning Solutions booth. PCS handles food plant sanitation for major food manufacturers. Food inspectors, processors, distributors and manufacturers walking this expo floor know exactly who they are.

This is a conference full of professionals who spend every day making sure our food supply stays safe. That is the crowd I get to entertain this week. And when the people in the room already take their work that seriously, my job is to give them a reason to stop and stay. Bonus for them is that they’ll also learn about the sanitation programs PCS provides for food manufacturers to be sure their facility’s equipment and environment is properly cleaned and audit-ready.

HDI Service & Support World 2026. Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. Tuesday through Thursday.

Console has included me as part of their exhibit marketing strategy multiple times and at some point it stops being a booking and starts being a partnership. That is what this feels like.

If you work in IT service and support, you already know what the people attending this conference deal with every day. Tickets piling up. The same issues showing up over and over. Teams stretched thin trying to keep up.

Console built AI agents that handle the repetitive stuff automatically so the people behind the screens can focus on the work that actually needs them. It is a real product that solves a real problem, and every time I show up to their booth it is not hard to see why people stop.

But when something impossible happens right in front of you, you stop. You watch. You want to see it again.

That's the moment I live for on the trade show floor. A crowd of people who were about to walk past suddenly can't leave. And while they're standing there trying to figure out what just happened, your sales team is right there with them.

𝐀 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

I saw it again at NATE UNITE. Guys climbing 50 feet in the air. Doing a vertical climb right on their on the show floor. People just stopped. Nobody asked them to stop. No giveaways. They just stopped and watched.

Why? Because something real was happening in front of them and that was enough. No screens. No special effects.

I've built my whole career on that same idea. Magic works at trade show booths for the exact same reason. When people see something happening with their own eyes, they lean in. The conversation starts on its own.

You don't need to chase anyone down when you have a presentation in the booth that does the work for you.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤.

I’m talking about when a marketing person hires me. They have to stand in front of their team and say, “We’re having a corporate magician in our exhibit booth.” That is not a small thing. They may get strange looks, pushback, and odd comments. And they know if the concept falls flat, it’s on them.

so when that marketing person takes the time after the event to write a Google Review and say it worked - that the booth was packed, that prospects stayed longer, that their team had the best show they have ever had -

That matters to me more than they probably realize.

Every five-star review is not just feedback. It is someone saying, "I put my name on this and I would do it again."

That is the part people do not see. The reviews are not about me. They are about the people who trusted me enough to make the call.

𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲.

MODEX is something else. If you've never walked a supply chain trade show at this scale, it is hard to put into words what the floor actually feels like.

Every part of how goods move from one place to another is represented here. Warehouse systems. Pallet racking. Trucking and logistics. The software running behind all of it. And robotics everywhere you look.

This is the industry that keeps everything else running. Most people never think about it. But walk this floor for ten minutes and you start to understand how much work goes into getting a box from a factory to your front door.

If you are in supply chain, MODEX is the one you do not miss.

Will you be at MODEX, the largest manufacturing and supply chain event in 2026? It's a huge convention in Atlanta, and I'll be walking the show floor and entertaining the customers of UNARCO at a special invite-only event on Tuesday evening.

My goal for the evening is two-pronged: To wow UNARCO customers with something special they've never seen before: Magic… Up-close and Impossible.

And to create an experience which is sure-to-be remembered.

APOS is one of those clients for me.

Before the pandemic, I appeared in their trade show booth over a dozen times. Last month they brought me to FABCON 2026, and their booth was such a success, that they’ve already asked me to hold the dates for FABCON 2027.

That is a good feeling.

Some exhibitors bring me in when they want to give their booth more energy.
Some bring me in when they are launching something new and want people to notice.

That is where I fit in best.

I am not just there to do a show. I am there to help create attention, build curiosity, and give a new product a better chance to land with the right people.

That is what I did for APOS and their new platform, PowerBurst. And I am grateful to be part of their team again after all these years.
