Hi everyone!

I wanted to pop on here and share a quick update regarding my response times and availability. Over the past couple of weeks, an urgent personal family emergency arose that requires my ongoing attention.

I am doing my best to balance family needs while taking care of my clients and business, but my response times to messages, emails, quotes, and product lists will continue to be a bit slower than usual over the coming days.

Please rest assured that if you've reached out, your message is on my radar and I haven't forgotten about you! I am working through my inbox as quickly as I can.

Thank you all so much for your patience, grace, and understanding as I navigate this season with my family. I am so grateful for this community and look forward to getting back into full swing as soon as possible!

Phase 3: Dad’s Room Set-up

This room was serving as the couple’s temporary sleeping spot while their master bedroom was under construction, after a house fire. But today’s goal was prepping the space for its actual intended use. This room will be a bedroom for the client’s dad, who will be moving in soon.

When I walked back in after all the furniture arrived on Monday, this room was basically back to square one.

I had 6 hours to make this room functional, so with no time to waste, I got right to work. l made a path, put furniture back together, and create a home for every items. Now it’s a functioning bedroom!

Next up is our final step, Phase 4! I’ll be resetting the other guest room and getting the remaining displaced items back where they belong. (like the office, kids’ rooms, playroom, and library). The finish line is officially in sight!

Phase 2 Complete: Moving Pieces & Making Progress

We wrapped up Day 2 of our multi-phase project, and the progress is starting to feel real!

Yesterday was all about clearing the space for their Dad’s new room. We emptied out the space and relocated the remaining displaced items into the spare guest room to keep everything organized while we wait on the next steps.

Here is where we’re at in the lineup:
We are currently in limbo until their furniture returns from the cleaner’s! We are also waiting on carpet to be laid in the master bedroom. Once those pieces return and the rest of Dad’s new room furniture arrives, we’ll dive right back in.

Phase 3 (Up Next): We’ll empty out the old dresser and tackle those last few items currently living in limbo. From there, I’ll be setting up custom, easy to maintain organizational systems to make Dad’s new space completely comfortable and functional for him.

Phase 4 (The Grand Finale): I’ll be heading back to finish up the spare guest room and set up its final organizational systems. We’ll be relocating all the leftover construction shuffle back to their actual homes, whether that’s the kids’ rooms, the playroom, or the library!

Tackling a massive post-renovation reset takes patience, strategy, and taking it one phase at a time. With a project like this, we can only complete so much until the other steps are completed first. I can’t wait to show you the final reveal once all the furniture arrives and we have a blank slate!

My latest clients have gone through some serious life altering events. Their house caught fire, and they’ve been dealing with endless stress, renovations, and just trying to cope with what daily life looks like right now.

Living out of temporary spaces with items piled everywhere while construction is happening around you takes such a heavy emotional toll. It is completely natural to feel overwhelmed in the middle of all that noise.

I stepped in to help this sweet family bring some sanity, function, and peace back into their home!

Phase 1: Decluttering Guest Room 1. This room was serving as their temporary sleeping spot while the main bedroom was under construction. We spent our first day decluttering and prepping the space for its next chapter; turning it into a dedicated room for their dad, who will be moving in soon!

What’s Next (Phase 2): Next up, we’ll be decluttering and clearing out the second guest room so we can shift the remaining items over and clear the runway for their dad’s arrival.

Stepping into my grandma’s home to help clear it out and get it ready to sell has been such an interesting process. Just to put that out there right away, she is alive and doing great, just living somewhere else now!
Going through 80+ years of her life has been both heartwarming and challenging, to say the least. I’ve been finding all kinds of old letters, paintings, sentimental figurines, and photographs from when my grandparents were kids, and learning family history from generations before them. It’s so fascinating to see everything that’s accumulated over the last hundred years and piece together our family.
Even though my grandmother is alive, going through her things is still hard. Because I know the inevitable reality is that one day, she won’t be here. And that sucks. I’m doing everything I can to honor her belongings in the best way possible and make sure her legacy stays alive long after she’s gone.
At the same time, I want to remind everyone that loving someone does not mean holding onto every single thing they owned. Just because they loved an item doesn't mean you are required to keep it forever. The real memory is held in your heart, not in their physical belongings. Releasing things gives them another chance to be loved by someone else, just as deeply as our loved ones loved them.
