Why urethane cement? Shop floors take a beating: solvents, fluids, dropped tools, floor jacks, and mag chloride and snowmelt off every tire that rolls in. Urethane cement is built for exactly that kind of commercial and industrial abuse. It stands up to impact shock, harsh chemicals and heavy rolling loads that would break down an ordinary coating.

Why it takes a real crew: All that toughness comes with a catch. Once the A/B urethane compounds and cement powder hit the mixer, the clock starts. You have minutes to pour, spread, spike roll and broadcast before it sets, and mistakes are hard to undo. That’s why this isn’t a one- or two-man job. It takes a trained crew where every person knows their role. Efficiency + Training.

Urethane Cement System installation for Auto Body Shop

Old adhesive out, Chemical-resistant clear coat system in.

This office floor at Chemical Montana Co came out from under decades of old glue, and with a facility handling a wide range of chemicals day to day, the floor underneath needed more than a fresh look.

These ladies wanted a rustic look. Polished concrete was on the table, which looks great, but polished concrete isn’t stain or chemical resistant on its own. Given the possible chemical exposure this space will see over the years, a grind-and-seal clear coat system was the right call.

We finished the floor with Resinwerks HDC 100, a heavy-duty, moisture-cured urethane topcoat built for extreme abrasion and chemical resistance, the same system trusted in warehouses and industrial plants that take a beating daily. Same clean, modern concrete look with real performance behind it.

One cool thing we did along the way: Underneath all that old glue were handprints pressed into the slab back in 1975, left by the current owner’s father when the concrete was first poured. We decided that piece of history was worth keeping instead of grinding away.

Two for One! 🐾

This one was a fun one. Our client tackled both an old garage renovation and a brand new two car multipurpose garage, using the same Resinwerks flake system on both so everything matches.

For the topcoat, we added a 60 grit traction additive to hit even further for ADA compliant slip resistance. That means plenty of grip for the kids to run around and shoot hoops, without it feeling like sandpaper underfoot. Same system, same durability, on both spaces.

Pole barn floors that can take Montana winters!

This new build needed more than a pretty floor. With studded tires rolling through all winter, a standard coating wasn’t going to cut it. Because this is a brand new build, we started with a v***r barrier epoxy base coat to stop and protect moisture from underneath. We also added an additional reinforced topcoat built to handle the abrasion studded tires throw at it.

The result: an industrial-strength flake system, sized for a full pole barn, tough enough for daily equipment traffic, installed on a residential property.

This is the kind of system we usually reserve for commercial and industrial floors. Here, it’s protecting a family’s investment in their own barn.

Transformation Tuesday! 🔨

This garage floor had two layers of old paint and old school epoxy, two layers of stubborn carpet glue, damaged stem walls, nail holes, and cracks running through the slab.

We started with specialty grinder bits to strip the old glue layers off completely, then moved to diamond grinding to prep the concrete surface — repairing the stem walls and holes before any new coating went down.

Proper prep isn’t the boring part of the job. It’s the part that decides whether this floor lasts decades or months.

A shop this size needs a coating system that holds up.

1,600+ square feet, vehicle bay to multipurpose space, one uniform floor coating from end to end. Creekbed flake broadcast into the base coat, sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat.
