Two for One! 🐾

This one was a fun one. Our client tackled both an old garage renovation and a brand new two car multipurpose garage, using the same Resinwerks flake system on both so everything matches.

For the topcoat, we added a 60 grit traction additive to hit even further for ADA compliant slip resistance. That means plenty of grip for the kids to run around and shoot hoops, without it feeling like sandpaper underfoot. Same system, same durability, on both spaces.

Pole barn floors that can take Montana winters!

This new build needed more than a pretty floor. With studded tires rolling through all winter, a standard coating wasn’t going to cut it. Because this is a brand new build, we started with a v***r barrier epoxy base coat to stop and protect moisture from underneath. We also added an additional reinforced topcoat built to handle the abrasion studded tires throw at it.

The result: an industrial-strength flake system, sized for a full pole barn, tough enough for daily equipment traffic, installed on a residential property.

Transformation Tuesday! 🔨

This garage floor had two layers of old paint and old school epoxy, two layers of stubborn carpet glue, damaged stem walls, nail holes, and cracks running through the slab.

We started with specialty grinder bits to strip the old glue layers off completely, then moved to diamond grinding to prep the concrete surface — repairing the stem walls and holes before any new coating went down.

Proper prep isn’t the boring part of the job. It’s the part that decides whether this floor lasts decades or months.

A shop this size needs a coating system that holds up.

1,600+ square feet, vehicle bay to multipurpose space, one uniform floor coating from end to end. Creekbed flake broadcast into the base coat, sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat.

Polyaspartic holds color under UV exposure and stands up to oil, chemicals, and heavy equipment traffic better than a traditional epoxy system alone. That’s why we spec it for shops built to actually get used.

Chico Hot Springs just got even better. So did their floors!

Chico Hot Springs — one of Montana’s most beloved destinations, just north of Yellowstone — just completed a full renovation of their iconic hot spring pools. And when it came time to protect the locker rooms, bathrooms, and shower facilities that thousands of guests will walk through every season, they called Big Paw.

We installed a full flake system across the men’s and women’s all-in-one locker room and shower spaces — built to handle the relentless foot traffic, moisture, and humidity that come with a world-class hot springs resort.

Here’s what we put down:

This East Helena basement received a v***r barrier base coat — and if you have a basement, this part actually matters.

Concrete is porous. Moisture moves up through slabs constantly, especially in basements. Without a proper v***r barrier coat, that moisture gets trapped under your floor system — and it will destroy adhesion, bubble your coating, and turn your beautiful new floor into a peeling mess within a season or two.

A v***r barrier base coat seals the slab at the surface level, blocking moisture v***r transmission before it becomes a problem. It’s not optional in a basement environment — it’s the foundation of a floor system that actually lasts.

Proper prep is everything. Before a single drop of coating went down on this Montana City stoop, steps, and sidewalk — we ground off the old failing system completely. No shortcuts.

From there, we installed a 1/8” flake coating system with a 40-grit traction additive in the topcoat to help with slip resistance where it counts— right at the entry of your home.

The finished system is UV stable, chemical resistant, and built to outlast whatever gets thrown at it.

This is what concrete coatings are supposed to look like.
