JUNE 14, 2026 | WEATHER UPDATE | 4:50 PM

Well… the atmosphere chose chaos today. 🌞➡️⛈️

After spending the day baking under sunshine and oppressive heat, the atmosphere is loaded with energy. Add in an approaching cold front and increasing wind shear, and we have the ingredients for strong to severe thunderstorms tonight.

What we're watching:
💨 Damaging straight-line winds remain the primary threat. Any storm that develops could produce wind gusts of 60+ mph, capable of bringing down trees, power lines, and causing scattered power outages.

🌪️ A little concerning…
There is already spin in the atmosphere tonight. Does that guarantee a tornado? Absolutely not.

Please just note that the ingredients are there for an isolated rotating thunderstorm, and we cannot rule out a brief tornado, especially from Philadelphia through Interior South Jersey.

📈 Current Setup:
🟡 Level 2 out of 5 risk for severe weather
💨 Damaging winds are the primary concern
🌪️ Isolated tornadic storms cannot be ruled out
⏰ Storm window: Now through Midnight
⚡ Highest concern: After dinner through midnight (approximately 9 PM - 11 PM)

And here's what we don't love about this setup: the strongest storms may arrive when many people are getting ready for bed or already asleep.

🚨 OEM's reminder:
✔️ Charge your phones now.
✔️ Turn up your notification volumes tonight.
✔️ Secure anything outside that enjoys becoming a neighborhood projectile, don't think you feel like going on a scavenger hunt tomorrow morning before work.
✔️ Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.
✔️ If a warning is issued, don't assume you'll hear the storm coming.

📲 MOST IMPORTANTLY: Please download and join our Telegram channel. During severe weather, Telegram is the FIRST platform we utilize for rapid notifications and updates, often before we can get information posted elsewhere.

JUNE 11, 2026 - 12:15 PM - WEATHER UPDATE

🌞 That Sunshine? Yeah… It’s Not Helping. 🌞

If you’ve been enjoying the sunshine today, just know it’s also helping fuel the atmosphere for potentially strong to severe thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening.

The more sunshine we get, the more unstable the atmosphere becomes—and that’s giving storms extra energy to work with.

⏰ Greatest concern: 4 PM – 10 PM

Potential hazards include:
💨 Damaging wind gusts 50–60+ MPH
⚡ Frequent lightning
🌧️ Torrential downpours and localized flash flooding
🌪️ An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out

This doesn’t mean everyone will see severe weather, but any storm that develops could become strong quickly.

🚨 NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE

* Secure loose outdoor items
* Charge your phones and devices
* Review where you would shelter if a warning is issued
* Keep an eye on the forecast this evening

📲 MOST IMPORTANTLY: Join the Borough of Clementon OEM Telegram Channel.

🚨 Hurricane season is here... and unfortunately, house fires, storms, flooding, and other emergencies don't send a calendar invite before they show up.

Here's your friendly OEM reminder:

📸 Walk through your home today and take pictures of EVERYTHING.

Open cabinets.
Open closets.
Open drawers.
Take photos of furniture, electronics, appliances, decorations, tools, clothing, and valuables.

It might feel silly taking pictures of 8 dinner plates, 6 coffee mugs, or that random junk drawer you've been avoiding for years...

Until you're standing in front of an insurance adjuster trying to remember everything you owned after a disaster.

The reality is that after a fire, flood, hurricane, or other emergency, most people cannot accurately remember everything that was lost. Photos and a simple inventory can make the claims process significantly easier and help ensure you receive proper compensation.

⏱ It takes about 15 minutes.
📱 Your phone is all you need.
🏠 Future You will be grateful.

Remember:

"You may not remember every item you owned after a disaster. Your photos will."

Stay prepared, Clementon.
