Hi there!
My name is Courtney, and I’m a teacher’s daughter!
As you might imagine, I spent a LOT of time helping my mom in her classroom over the years. I have the utmost respect for teachers, and the countless unpaid hours of work they pour into their classrooms and students.
Over the 20+ years I’ve been able to help around the classroom, I’ve gotten really good at the small, menial tasks that take up a large chunk of a teacher’s time: filing papers, pulling workbook pages, cutting out all those cute little laminating pieces that you swore didn’t have nearly that many corners…..
In the past few years, I’ve picked up a few new skills as well! I’ve helped create fun classroom aids like charts and posters, as well as things like Google Forms to help parents fill out their child’s information electronically (because you KNOW that at least 3 of those 18 forms will be “lost” before they’re returned to school…).
For those of you that aren’t lucky enough to have a 30 year old daughter with a flexible schedule, worry not! I’m renting out my services as a Professional Teacher’s Kid - it’s all the help, minus the tax deduction for actually being my parent!
For tasks that need to happen on school property, I’m a certified Level 2 volunteer with Lake County schools. 👍 I’m always down to come climb ladders to hang posters, or fix those wobbly desks!
