Last night, I had the amazing experience of sitting and simply listening to a traveling monk. What an incredible reminder that even those of us who spend so much time pouring into others need moments to pause, listen, learn, and refill our own cup.

I left feeling grounded, inspired, and grateful. 🙏✨

Knowing your numbers doesn’t mean you “only care about money.”

It means you care enough to build a childcare program that can stay open, pay its team well, invest in quality materials, maintain a safe environment, and continue serving children and families for years to come.

Too often, childcare owners are shamed for understanding their bottom line—as if financial awareness and a child-centered mission cannot coexist.

The truth is: they must coexist.

A sustainable business creates stability. Stability supports teachers. Supported teachers create stronger classrooms. Stronger classrooms help children thrive.

Numbers are not the opposite of heart.

Numbers make it possible for your heart-led work to have a lasting impact.

When childcare owners know their numbers, everybody wins—especially the children.
