We accept computers, monitors (crt's and lcd), printers, copiers, servers, cords, cables, unwanted accessories, toners and metal racks. We also accept unwanted packing material such as packing peanuts, boxes, pallets and bubble wrap. HOW WE RECYCLE YOUR UNWANTED E-WASTE
Each item is carefully inspected to assure no hazards are present, such as leaky batteries or other harmful chemicals. Once item
passes inspection it continues on to testing stage. This stage is where we test the item for possible reuse (best way of recycling). After item is tested any parts reusable are removed and put aside for resale on secondary markets such as EBay or our store web site TheShwagShop.com. At this station we remove all metal, plastics, cables, cords and put them in their selected containers. Final stage each material is recycled following all Federal, State and Local guidelines. FAQ’s:
Q: Is my data secured? A: We take all data security very seriously. We recommend deleting all material before handing over any type of data storage devices. We have 2 options for recycling your data devices.
1) Client wants data destroyed. Each device is completely destroyed and a certificate of recycling is given. All asset tags and or any identity tags are removed and properly disposed of.
2) Only on approval will we reuse your old data device. We use a program that wipes these devices 12 times over. This process is known as DOD. This makes it virtually impossible to retrieve any data. We then format device for its intended use. Q: How to arrange a pickup
A: You can call or email us. We offer free pickup within a 50 mile ratous of our location. Q: I would like to recycle my computer but i only have one. A: This is not a problem. We are happy that you want to recycle your old computer instead of tossing it in the trash. You can drop it off at our location anytime. Pick up may be arranged for a small fee, but we also offer FREE pickup to those that are no more than 10 miles from our location.
