The most common vehicle on the road isn't a pickup. It's a crossover. 🚙

SEMA Market Research counts 90.1 million CUVs in the U.S. That's 30% of every vehicle on the road. And CUVs have grown from about 30% to 50% of new sales in the last 10 years.

Here's the catch: SEMA says enthusiasts and businesses "have not fully embraced personalizing CUVs." Accessorization rates for popular CUVs run 11% to 27%, compared with 38% to 43% for the Maverick and Bronco.

Translation: lots of crossover owners haven't had anyone show them what's possible. Exterior appearance upgrades and body finishing are already among the top things they buy.

🦂 CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT: Dakota Shick, Du Bois, PA

Great shops grow on purpose. Dakota Shick has been growing with Scorpion since May 2023.

It started with Carbon Plus, Carbon Series, and Shield IR for automotive tint. Since then, Dakota has widened the offering. Flat glass film now sits alongside the auto work, in silver and bronze reflective, with brochures, a binder, and folders to show customers their options. In August came a SCAN Plotter Adapter for precision pattern cutting. The latest order arrived this month.
