The holiday season is a wonderful time to bring joy and companionship to seniors, who may be experiencing loneliness, isolation, or physical or financial stress. Families and communities can make a real difference by prioritizing inclusion and making practical accommodations. To support our seniors, focus on simple, inclusive activities like watching movies, helping with decorations, or arranging comfortable outings like holiday light drives. Ensure their physical safety by addressing potential hazards, and use technology to keep them connected with loved ones who cannot be there in person.

One of our clients enjoying a stroll through the holiday aisle before lunch at the Charlmont Restaurant. It’s refreshing to see our clients so well cared for and out enjoying the community!

🚨URGENT NEED:
Looking for a table like this for a client. Yes, I can order one but I am shooting in the dark and hoping to find one locally.
If anyone has any leads please let me know here, in messenger or on my cell 802-363-1795.

New, used, doesn’t matter! As long as it’s not broken and in decent shape!

Thank you 🙏

At KJM Guardianship, we often have real estate to be sold. Real estate isn’t our specialty so we rely on realtors to handle the majority of tasks that come along with selling. Kristen provides a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is attentive, under, hard working and most of all patient.

In Kristen’s absence, the staff of Ridgeline Real Estate jumps in and the process is flawless.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 15th
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) was launched on June 15, 2006 by the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and the World Health Organization at the United Nations.

The purpose of WEAAD is to provide an opportunity for communities around the world to promote a better understanding of abuse and neglect of older persons by raising awareness of the cultural, social, economic and demographic processes affecting elder abuse and neglect.

In addition, WEAAD is in support of the United Nations International Plan of Action acknowledging the significance of elder abuse as a public health and human rights issue. WEAAD serves as a call-to-action for individuals, organizations, and communities to raise awareness about elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

We are proud to share that Kris Lukens, Director of CVOEO’s Voices Against Violence/Laurie's House, is being recognized with a Career Achievement Award from The Center for Crime Victim Services.

This award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to victim services over their career or lifetime and have changed the culture and practice of Vermont to be safer and more responsive to victims of crime.

For decades Kris has been a community leader, transforming the way our community approaches work with survivors, not only in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties, but across Vermont. Kris has eased the fear and suffering of so many individuals and has been an ally, providing survivors with safety, relief, compassion, support, and hope.

A CVOEO colleague shares, “Kris has created real change, not just for her clients, but for all of us that have had the luck to work alongside her. I consider her a role model, mentor, and leader, and I cannot imagine anyone more deserving of this honor.”

Join us in congratulating our friend and colleague, Kris Lukens!
