To Green Drinks, or not to Green Drinks?
Is that even a question? 😉

Our long-awaited visit to Hudson Valley Shakespeare is finally happening TOMORROW!

The wildfire smoke may have foiled our first attempt, but the show must go on.

Join Hudson Valley Green Drinks for a behind-the-scenes Tour & Talk at Hudson Valley Shakespeare’s extraordinary new home, the first public, purpose-built LEED Platinum theater in the United States.

We’ll tour the theater and grounds at 5:15 PM, then at 6:00 PM sit down with Studio Gang architect Teo Quintana, one of the architects behind the project, to talk about the intersection of architecture, sustainability, ecology, and the arts.

Come early, bring a picnic, or make a reservation at The Folio and enjoy the spectacular setting before we get started.

And there is A LOT happening.

Tours. Workshops. Demonstrations. Community conversations. Clean energy. Native plants. Composting. Circularity. Climate resilience. Sustainable buildings. Career development. And plenty of opportunities to meet people doing interesting work throughout the Hudson Valley.

That's exactly the kind of connection and exchange of ideas we love at Hudson Valley Green Drinks.

Alas, poor gathering... we knew it well.

Due to the smoky conditions and unsafe air quality, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival has canceled tonight's performance of King Lear. As a result, we'll also be postponing today's Hudson Valley Green Drinks gathering.

We hope to reconvene in September (when the only thing in the air is good conversation).

If you purchased tickets for the performance, they are refundable or transferable to another performance. You should have received a text message from the box office.

Until then... "Parting is such sweet sorrow."
