This August, we’re honored to be working the banquet for the 2026 Oklahoma Business Enterprise Program Annual Training Conference. 💙

The Oklahoma Business Enterprise Program provides opportunities for Oklahomans who are blind or visually impaired to own and operate food service and vending businesses, helping them build successful, independent careers.

This event is especially meaningful to us because it hits close to home. One of our parents is blind due to Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and is a proud participant in this program. Seeing firsthand the opportunities, support, and community it provides makes it even more special to be a small part of this conference.

We’re looking forward to serving everyone and celebrating an incredible group of entrepreneurs!

Quick blindness 101: "Blind" doesn't mean the same thing for everyone. 🤓

There's a whole range — from low vision (some usable sight) to sections of visual field missing (like tunnel vision) to total blindness (no light perception at all). Most people who are legally blind actually have some vision, and many use tools like screen readers, canes, or braille to navigate daily life with total independence. 💪 Most everyone now knows someone with some degree of blindness.

What's something you're curious about when it comes to low vision or blindness? Drop a question below — we are always happy to educate on how we do things or offer some answers. Curiosity is good!
