Small, Au.D., CPS/A is an occupational audiologist consultant, CAOHC certified professional supervisor and owner of Associates In Audiology, Inc., a professional consulting firm specializing in occupational audiology, and hearing loss prevention. Dr. Small has been practicing audiology for over 18 years, with a 100% focus on hearing loss prevention for more than 10 years. Her primary responsibilit
ies are professional review of hearing loss prevention programs to ensure effective protection from noise hazards to employees and regulatory compliance for employers. Specifically, services include audiometric database analysis and management, audiometric testing, assessment of hearing protection devices, work related determinations, seminars and employee/employer education. She also conducts employee noise exposure assessments through dosimetry and area noise surveys for both hearing loss prevention and regulatory compliance. In addition, Dr. Small teaches courses that lead to certification as an occupational hearing conservationist from the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). These courses are offered locally and internationally.
