The Veterans’ Expo and Job Fair is intended for active military and vetera
ns, men and women, from all branches of service and their families. The Expo is being held to ensure that eligible individuals are aware of the benefits they have earned; many families are unaware OF the resources and benefits that are available. It’s important that veterans start young, even if they’re not thinking about what they will need for retirement or healthcare 40 years down the road. The Expo provides veterans and their families an opportunity to be introduced to exhibitors who are interested in their well being and represent community service providers, healthcare professionals, VA benefits organizations, education/training providers, business startup assistance organizations, and employers. More than 200,000 veterans leave the military annually. The Job Fair provides an opportunity for veterans and employers to meet face-to-face to discuss available positions. Additionally, workshops/seminars will be offered on topics, including resume writing, career planning, interviewing techniques, becoming an entrepreneur, and online job searching. The Job Fair provides a great venue for exploring potential employment opportunities and for learning about companies who are actively hiring in the area. Service members who fight to protect our freedoms abroad shouldn’t have to fight for jobs when they return home. Top reasons to hire a veteran —
