In local cybersecurity news, a suburban municipality has suffered a ransomware attack. If it isn't clear yet, cyber criminals target organizations that are limited in cybersecurity resources but rich in data, putting both the organizations and their stakeholders at risk.

The City of Whitehall mailed notifications to about 37,000 whose personal information may have been compromised in a May ransomware attack.
