💜 COMMUNITY DONATIONS NEEDED 💜

Caring Xperience is preparing for our Step Up for Life Community Outreach on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 p.m.

Our goal is to provide meals, hygiene supplies, encouragement, and community resources to as many as 200 individuals in the Columbus community.

We are currently accepting:

💧 Bottled water and ice
🍗 Food and meal supplies
🥪 Sandwich bread, meat, cheese and sandwich bags
🍽️ Plates, cups, napkins, utensils and foil pans
🪥 Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and deodorant
🧼 Wipes and menstrual products
🧦 Socks and blankets
🎁 Gift cards and raffle items
💵 Financial sponsorships

Every donation—large or small—will help us serve our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care.

Businesses, churches, organizations, sororities, fraternities and community members are invited to partner with us. Please message me if you would like to donate, sponsor a portion of the event, or arrange a pickup or drop-off.

Happy Wednesday! 💜 Purpose Gives Life Meaning

Did you know that having a sense of purpose may help us age better?

Research published in JAMA Psychiatry found that older adults who reported having goals and meaning in their lives were less likely to show certain signs of declining physical function, such as slower walking speed and weaker grip strength.

Purpose doesn’t have to mean having a job or doing something huge. Purpose can look like:

✨ Caring for family
✨ Volunteering in the community
✨ Learning something new
✨ Gardening or cooking
✨ Attending social activities
✨ Mentoring younger generations
✨ Helping a neighbor
✨ Having something meaningful to look forward to

As we age, we still need to feel needed, connected, valued, and involved.

This is why it’s so important that we don’t simply provide care for older adults—we create opportunities for them to live, participate, connect, and continue discovering purpose.

💜 Aging doesn’t take away your purpose. Sometimes it gives you the opportunity to discover a new one.

When life feels overwhelming, pause and breathe. 💙

Try Box Breathing:

Breathe in for 4 seconds.
Hold for 4 seconds.
Breathe out for 4 seconds.
Hold for 4 seconds.

Repeat a few times and remind yourself:

I am safe. I am present. I can handle this moment one breath at a time.

Sometimes peace does not come from fixing everything at once. Sometimes it begins with slowing down, taking one deep breath, and giving yourself permission to reset.
