AI inside ERP is starting to move beyond simple automation tools.

With Odoo 19, features like voice transcription, AI-generated summaries, email assistance, live chat support, and intelligent workflow recommendations are being built directly into everyday business processes.

The goal isn’t just adding AI for the sake of it. It’s helping teams reduce repetitive work, improve visibility, and make faster operational decisions inside the systems they already use every day.

mission is to provide life-changing surgeries to children with treatable disabilities depends on precise, efficient systems, including timely shipment of hospital supply containers, distribution of medications and surgical supplies, and management of inventory across multiple currencies worldwide.

Their existing ERP setup had become a bottleneck, limiting visibility into inventory, accounting, and distribution workflows that are critical for ensuring the right medical supplies reach the right surgical teams on time.

What we’ve been working on with CURE to tailor Odoo to the organization’s unique operational needs:

Streamlining Surgical Kit Distribution: Designing processes to efficiently ship customized surgical kits from Michigan to hospitals worldwide, with real-time visibility to existing inventory levels to optimize inventory costs.

Enhancing Inventory & Multi-Currency Management: In-transit inventory tracking and multi-currency handling will provide CURE with real-time visibility across all sites.

Automating Complex Processes: Manual tasks, such as salary and payment tracking and expense reimbursements, are being integrated into Odoo to reduce errors and save time.

Optimizing Base Odoo Use: Customizations are being consolidated back to base Odoo to unlock more out-of-the-box functionality and simplify long-term maintenance.

Our team is proud to support CURE this week as they prepare for their Odoo go-live next week, helping create stronger systems that support life-changing care around the world.

Today, 8 members of the QOC Innovations team are heading to Africa to support CURE International's Odoo redesign and version upgrade across 8 different hospital locations.

Over the coming weeks, the team will be onsite helping support operations tied to inventory management, surgical kit distribution, accounting workflows, multi-currency handling, and process improvements across CURE’s global hospital network.

This project has been especially meaningful for our team because the work goes far beyond software.

The systems being built and improved help support hospitals delivering life-changing surgeries for children with treatable disabilities.

That perspective changes the way you approach the work.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the CURE International team and to support their mission.

Yesterday’s QOC Innovations Odoo Forum gave us a lot to reflect on as a team.

Of course we talked about, manufacturing operations, accounting, automation, AI, routing, planning, and ERP strategy.

But honestly, the biggest takeaway had very little to do with software.

It was the conversations.

In a world where AI and automation are becoming part of almost every conversation, yesterday was a reminder that what makes businesses better is still people working through problems together.

But none of those things replace operational understanding, collaboration, trust, and experience.

One thing we heard repeatedly from both attendees and our own team afterward was how impactful it was to have these conversations happen in person.

That’s also what makes QOC unique.

We’re not just focused on ERP implementation.

Our team works across manufacturing consulting, accounting, bookkeeping, development, AI, marketing, business consulting, engineering, help desk support, and operational strategy because businesses don’t operate in silos.

Operations affect accounting > Accounting affects planning.
Planning affects production > Systems affect everything.

And the best solutions usually come from understanding how all those pieces work together.

Yesterday was a great reminder of why we care so much about the work we do and the companies we get to work alongside every day.
