Some people are probably wondering who the person behind “The Hobby Shop” name is…. My name is Jason Morgan and I am a project manager for a local commercial contractor in Columbus, MS. So naturally, I have always enjoyed building, repairing, and taking apart things since I was a kid. In my line of work there is a very obvious generational gap of people with hands-on skills. My purpose behind starting The Hobby Shop was to provide a service to those who need it, for whatever reason, and to hopefully gain interest from local teenagers providing the opportunity to introduce some structured hands-on trade related skills, making a little money, and hopefully grow interest into the world of skilled trades while having a flexible schedule. So, send all of those kids who fit that description and your needs our way.
