Yesterday was Sunday. And the anxiety about re-entry hit.
Not enough to dive into deep work. Just enough to do the work to get ready to do the work.
Reviewing notes.
Clearing emails.
Letting my nervous system catch up to my calendar.
If you felt that pull too, you’re not behind. You’re orienting.
And if January has already felt loud, fast, or demanding, especially if you haven’t done any goal setting yet, let me say this plainly:
That’s okay.
January creates urgency before clarity. You don’t have to let it run the show.
Instead of forcing goals, try starting here:
• What energized you last year?
• What quietly drained you?
• What do you want less of before deciding what deserves more space?
• What must be clarified now so you stop forcing decisions later?
January doesn’t require a perfect plan. It asks for presence and a willingness to begin. Here’s to a year built with intention.
Nothing is broken. You’re simply re-entering.
