How do you catch a monkey? 🐒

There's an old story about a monkey, a coconut, and a piece of fruit.

The monkey reaches in, grabs the fruit. And suddenly finds itself trapped.

But here's the interesting part.

The monkey could get free at any moment.

👉 I break down what it can teach us about getting unstuck in "How to Catch a Monkey": https://summit-success.com/how-to-catch-a-monkey?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=how_to_catch_a_monkey

More revenue shouldn’t mean less time, less freedom, and less of the life you actually want to live.

You can build a successful business and have time for the people, experiences, health, and moments that make life meaningful.

The goal isn’t to build a business that needs more of you.

It’s to build one that supports the life you want.

This guide will show you a simpler, more integrated approach to creating success without sacrificing everything else.

You’re probably closer than you think!

Grab the FREE guide and take the first step toward building a business, and a life, you actually love.

You can walk through the Uffizi Gallery by yourself.

You’ll see extraordinary things ( know we did.)

But you’ll also walk right past things you never knew were there.

I think the same thing happens in business. And in life.

My new blog post is about guides, blind spots, and why going it alone isn’t always the badge of honor we think it is.

We usually look for grand gestures to prove that something is changing.

A big decision.
A bold move.
A completely new chapter.

But most meaningful change doesn’t happen that way.
It happens quietly.

In the extra five minutes you give yourself before reacting.

In the decision to finally say no to something that keeps draining you.

In choosing to take the walk, make the call, close the laptop, or have the conversation you’ve been putting off.

Small changes rarely feel significant in the moment. But repeated often enough, they can change the direction of your life.

So maybe the better question isn’t, “What big thing am I changing?”

Maybe it’s:
"What small change am I making every day that is moving me closer to the person I want to become?"

Everyone plans the climb. Almost nobody plans the way down.
In mountaineering, more accidents happen on the descent than the ascent.
You've spent everything getting to the summit—attention, adrenaline, and focus. Then you still have to get down, except now you're tired and the danger no longer feels dangerous because you already "won."
The same thing happens in business.
The launch lands. The deal closes. The milestone is reached. And then... nothing.
Every ounce of planning went into getting there, but not what comes next.
That's when burnout often shows up, not during the grind, but after the win, when the tension releases and nothing is in place to catch you.
If you're working toward a big milestone, build the descent plan now, while you still have the clarity to do it.
Ask yourself: What does the week after the win look like?
Who will need my attention?
What have I been telling myself I'll do "when I have time"?
Plan the way down. That's where people often get hurt.

Some people believe age matters when you start something new.

That belief convinces us we're too old.

Too old to learn. Too old to improve. Too late to become the kind of person who enjoys long rides.

Then one day, I stopped arguing with myself and got on the bike.

The hardest part wasn't the ride. It was letting go of the belief that I was too old to begin.

If there's something you've wanted to do for years, let this be your reminder: you're probably not too old.

You're just one decision away from starting.

You don't have to look far for contentiousness and conflict. There's plenty of it in the world right now.

You don't need grand gestures to make a difference, either.

There's a way to change that.

There's a revolution we can start.

And you can lead it.

I shared more insights about that in this week's blog.

Years ago, a young lawyer came into my office with tears in his eyes.

The problem wasn’t a case. It wasn’t a client.

It was something much smaller. And much more revealing.

He’d lost the ability to enjoy something simple because it didn’t feel “productive.”

That conversation stayed with me because I think so many successful people live with some version of the same wound.

I know I do.

I shared a reflection on this in this week's blog.
