Great session Friday evening in our Aquatic Incident Management Systems (AIMS) class.
Scott led a solid discussion on command and control and responder safety during water based@ incidents. These incidents can get complicated in a hurry—multiple agencies, boats, divers, sonar teams, air assets, changing conditions, and a lot of moving pieces. Having a clear command structure and keeping safety at the front of every decision is what keeps an incident organized and our people protected.
AIMS isn’t just about finding someone in the water. It’s about building a system that helps responders manage the entire incident—from the first call through the final operational period.
Good conversation, good questions, and a great group of public safety professionals in the room.
Train together. Plan together. Work together.
