Turns out fishing isn’t the only thing worth making time for at a Salty Sisters retreat. We have massage too!

I caught up with a couple of the women before and after their massages and chatted with Britt Brown, the licensed massage therapist who joined us for the weekend. (And she wi be back for our women's fly-fishing and wellness retreats on October 24 and 25th)

Would you book yours before fishing or save it for afterward? And yes, “both” is an acceptable answer. 😂

Ps - Britt Brown Mobile LMT can bring massage to your office, an event, or a retreat like ours. Just putting that out there for anyone planning their next staff appreciation day.

Cupcake trout?? When Guide Bob told us that the best way to fry trout was in yellow cake mix, we were skeptics! But he did a cooking demo for us and we were all surprised! Its actually quite good!

The question is...would you try it?

🍂 ONE MORE RETREAT BEFORE 2026 WRAPS UP 🍂

October 24 & 25 | McKenzie River, Oregon

If you've been watching Salty Sisters and thinking, “I want to do something like that,” this is your last chance to join us for a retreat in 2026.

And you do NOT need to know how to fly fish.

Come by yourself. Bring a friend. Be brand new. Be the woman who already owns three fly rods. This weekend was built to meet you where you are.

Saturday is our reset day at beautiful Gate Creek Ranch with restorative yoga, paddleboarding (with a fall “witches paddle” maybe 🧙‍♀️), time by the creek, casting practice, happy hour and a seasonal farm-to-table dinner. We'll also be joined by author Angela Hampton, whose new book Tales from the Danube Cycle Path releases this fall.

Sunday, we fish.

You'll spend a full guided day fly fishing the McKenzie River, with gear provided and guides there to help you every step of the way. At lunch, we'll gather for a farmstead spread and cook some of the trout we've caught right there on the river.

You can join us for the whole weekend or choose the part that fits you best including a fishing-only option and a Saturday wellness-only option.

Our first retreat was magic: women showed up not knowing everyone, tried new things, caught a LOT of fish, laughed, relaxed and left with new friends.

We get to do it one more time this year.

What a magical weekend.

We came to the McKenzie River to fly fish, and fit in yoga, massages, foot soaks, incredible food, a few brave jumps off Jump Off Rock and a whole lot of laughing.

More than 60 fish were caught, but I don't think that's what most of us will remember.

Our first Salty Sisters Fly Fishing Wellness Retreat is officially in the books, and I'm already wishing we could do it all over again.

The good news? We have one more Salty Sisters adventure before we wrap up 2026.

October 24 & 25. One last chance to come play outside at the McKenzie River with us this year. ❤️
