Ive fished with a lot of guides and I try to pick the best for our adventures. Blodgett Guide Service is one of the best if youre wanting to fish the Rogue River. And we think it's super cool that its a father/son duo!

I got Isaac started at a young age learning how to run a boat and fish the river. Fishing and running this river have been a part of our family for generations. Between us, we bring decades of experience on the river—not just catching fish, but knowing how to safely run it and where to find them.

Fall salmon are here! Book your trip today for your chance at a MONSTER KING SALMON.

It’s This or That Thursday!

🎃 Halloween or 🎄 Christmas?

I’m picking Halloween—mostly because I really want an excuse to wear a costume on the boat while I’m fishing. 😂

What are you choosing?

PS - if you ALSO love the idea of fishing in costume on the boat, I really do want to do this and we could easily make it a morning trip. Halloween IS on a Saturday. Where my Halloween Salty Sisters?

🎣 Are you joining us in Wi******er Bay for Salmon on Sept 4th?

🌊For anyone joining or asking about the licensing, here is exactly what you need to fish legally for the day:

If you wont be fishing much the rest of the year, I suggest a One-Day Angling and Shellfish Combo license. It costs $29.00 and covers you for the full calendar day. It includes the salmon tag.

If you plan to fish often, get the Combined Angling Tag (it covers you for salmon).

Endorsements: Because we are targeting strictly for salmon, we do not need the Ocean Endorsement.

The Limits (Sept 4 Ocean Rules): It’s a 2 fish limit in the ocean, Non-Select meaning the only regulation is length. 2 of any salmon (hatchery or wild) coho or chinook.

Make sure to grab yours ahead of time via Guest Checkout on the ODFW HuntFishOregon website or at a local shop. And if you select a printed tag, make sure you print it and bring it!

(PS - an email went out to everyone registered this morning. If you dont see it, let me know).

Well, Saturday didn’t go exactly as planned but the Salty Sisters showed us exactly what they’re made of! Determination, grit and a desire to fish!

We headed out knowing it was going to be sporty, but the ocean was rougher than anticipated. Our captains made the call to head back in, and safety will always come first.

But that wasn’t the end of our day. We regrouped, changed plans and headed back out for bottomfish. The tuna may not have cooperated, but the Sisters did and they came back with rockfish, stories and another adventure under their belts. And one lucky Sister managed a halibut!

Thank you to all of you for making the most of the day and for keeping on fishing.

A huge thank-you to our captains and deckhands for keeping everyone safe and working hard to give the women a full day on the water. Thank you to everyone who helped with the prizes, snacks and all the pieces that made the day special.

And most of all, thank you to the women who came ready for tuna and handled the pivot like true Salty Sisters. I’m proud of this group. ❤️

This is our first year putting together many of these adventures, and every one teaches me something. I have a plan for next year and after I talk with our guides, I'll share ♥️♥️.

I appreciate each and everyone of you!!

🚨🚨If you're joining us Saturday, comment below so we know you saw these important updates! We are running out of Charleston so see you all at the Charleston Fishing Families offices ♥️♥️

Now here's 5 things to know before our Salty Sisters Tuna Adventure!

1. It’s going to be sporty out there—and by sporty, I mean a little rough. Plan ahead for seasickness. I recommend Bonine, and you’ll want to take it early enough to start working before we leave the dock. I did say it would be an adventure lol.

2. Wear layers and clothes you don’t mind getting fishy, bloody or possibly ruined. This is tuna fishing, not a fashion show. 😂

3. Wear non-slip boots and bring gloves if you have them. Your hands will thank you!

4. We’re having a casual, no-host dinner Friday night at 6 p.m. at Miller’s at the Cove in Charleston for anyone who wants to join us.

5. Bring cash! Fish filleting is $7 per fish, and if they go above and beyond, please plan to tip your guides and deckhands—they’ll be working hard to give us a great day on the water.

It’s almost tuna time, Sisters! 💪🐟
