Again, last night, I asked who of the current board members would still be on the board after the annual meeting? Simple question I thought.

Dawn said they wouldn’t know until after October 1.

I also asked if the board would turn their laptops around so we could actually SEE TJ cole who was supposed to be on zoom. There was unwillingness on the part of the treasurer to turn her laptop around because it’s a board meeting, not a member meeting. When she finally did, his image was photo thumbnail size, not full size.

They really managed to pack a lot of sh*tshow into a half hour board meeting last night. At the August meeting they said there wouldn’t be a meeting until October. But it looks like they changed their own agenda, nothing new there, so they could vote onto the board 3 more of their kumbaya lackey followers. And new lackey Craig White wasn’t even there. I thought you had to be present to be voted on.
Last night I reminded Dawn White how last month she said that being on the board was so much time and work and I had suggested she could step down if it was too much. She had said, Oh no, then a judge would appoint a property management company. I reminded her her how maybe 15 minutes later she raised the issue and they all voted for a property management company. I told her last night that their lies and hypocrisy do not go unnoticed. Meanwhile in my 3 minutes Dawn was trying to talk over me. It’s something they do. Don’t let them talk over and shut down your 3 minutes.
Vince talked about while he was volunteering at the slash event, 3 people asked him why there are no wood chips available. He said that someone on the board called Wise Tree and told them that people didn’t want the wood chips. He told the board that it was recorded in case they want to lie about it. Then he said he knows that the Thornes hate us ( Vince and Barbara Stoldt) because of this, the Unofficial page. Allegedly no one can get wood chips out of 93 Wendy because it’s a liability issue. But it’s NOT a liability issue when 2 people who are not board members are using tractors there. It could look like the no wood chips liability policy is a petty spiteful position to take because of hatefulness and sadly it negatively affects the community, totally against their idea of camaraderie etc. Vince has volunteered to load your wood chips with his tractor since 2021, and a good number of people have his phone number and have made those arrangements over the years.
Dawn raised the issue of revisiting wood chips because of the expense this year, approximately $8K. I asked why there was no contract. Dawn said she didn’t know and they’re still learning. I can’t make this up.

Are you planning to go to the next board meeting? I know the newsletter says no board meetings Sept- December, but there is a board meeting scheduled next Wednesday, September 16, inconveniently in my opinion, at 4:30 at the Hive in Cañon City. In case you didn’t know, the Hive is first vice president Dawn White’s office location.

In case you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, here’s their August newsletter. It used to come with proxy ballots. Now we separately received a QUORUM ballot, so if there’s 85 people present, THEY get to vote for their board. Imagine what that room will look like with 85 people present. If not, they get to adjourn the meeting because there’s no quorum. If this is hard to believe, it’s still true.
In addition!!! They’re working hard to create a positive, collaborative and productive experience. That’s what they call it. They also need volunteers of course.
Let me ask you-
with this board’s current petty decision making, WHO FEELS INCLINED TO VOLUNTEER ??
They need board members. WITH the way they drag out lawsuits costing us MORE money, WHO FEELS INCLINED TO VOLUNTEER?
