Fresh produce is here and I want y’all to know where it’s coming from….I took everything y’all asked for to heart and found the best solution I could find.
We’re working with a North Texas farm that brings together produce from other INDEPENDENT family farms across East Texas, so we can offer more variety here in Elkhart. This allows me to see the what's fresh list each week, place our order and have a designated pick-up date and location. Massive time and fuel saver!
What you will see:
**Locally Grown:** Princeton, Merit, Celeste, Canton, Ben Wheeler, Krum, Pittsburg, and surrounding farming communities.
**Tennessee Amish:** Produce from their partnerships with Amish growers in Tennessee.
**Regional:** Produce that helps fill in when something isn’t grown locally….because not everything is grown locally.
Everything will be labeled. If it’s locally grown, you’ll know. If it came from Tennessee or another regional source, you’ll know that too.
My goal is to bring good, fresh food into the store, support smaller family farms where we can, and be clear with you about what you’re buying. I’m excited to finally have this part of the store going and structured.
