Keep it simple when shipping your DNA 🧬 samples to ensure they arrive safely and can be processed quickly ⏱. Samples should be shipped in one of the following:

✅ PADDED ENVELOPE. Only hair samples can be shipped in flat envelopes. TSUs can be crushed or fall out of flats. 😫

✅ SMALL BOX. Large boxes do not fit in my PO Box. I cannot get them after hours at the Post Office, so processing is delayed. ⏳

🚫 Avoid adding extra stuff for me to open, cut, tear, or dig through.

TSUs should be individually labeled, grouped inside a SINGLE plastic baggie, then dropped inside the padded envelope or small box along with your confirmation sheet. Hair samples should each be placed inside their own, labeled envelope within a larger shipping envelope with the confirmation sheet. This provides adequate protection, simplifies unpacking, and makes processing easier.

Rumor has it that some of you aren't sure how to apply the labels to your TSUs before sending them to me. BEHOLD! 💡

Please 🙏 apply the labels to the TSU rather than finding other creative ways to use them (on a baggie, an envelope, a piece of paper or the TSU box).

Place ALL your TSUs into a SINGLE 1️⃣ baggie. Be sure to ship in a padded envelope or small box 📦. Some have sent them in a regular manila envelope and one or more was damaged. Stick with a small box so it fits in my PO box. 😊

Hello newbies! Don't be intimidated by that big ol' Allflex Tissue Sampler. Here's a short video showing how to use it. Punch the ear in the same location you would place a tag - well away from the edges and between the large veins.

Spring has sprung and the lambs are arriving! 🍼Congrats to all Valais Blacknose Sheep Society USA members with new lambs. I'm making lots of trips to the post office 📮 to keep the DNA process running as quickly and efficiently as possible. 🏃‍♀️
