One of the very best career choices I’ve made was joining my local NAPO Chicago chapter. This past meeting we discussed ‘reality’ versus real organization. Three differences:
1) REAL organization is about the person not just the stuff
2) REAL organization may take longer but the results last
3) REAL organization isn’t about buying stuff but using what you have more effectively

The month of May can be a LOT for moms. OrganizeWell loves when we are the go to for a busy mom! Yesterday we wrapped graduation gifts, last week we prepped for a party, and we worked with a teen to have her room ready before graduation guests arrived. Next week we will be setting up systems in a busy family’s new home. We love to organize and we especially love when we make another mom’s to do list doable. ❤️

My philosophy of organizing is that it's a balancing process as we move through the stages of life.

As young adults, more stuff is necessary and we need to up our skills and/or our storage for balance. Later in life, we may need to reduce our stuff to match the storage we have and the energy we want to spend managing our stuff.

That's why I work with clients one-on-one to find their organizational sweet spot!

I wrote these tips for my clients to use over the holidays but they work year around to tackle disorganization with our kids! My biggest advice - don't overwhelm your kids with a too big project. We are much, much more likely to get cooperation when we are very specific with the ASK and the TASK. Make it kid size for success!

The groundhog has seen his shadow. I don't know if that matters in northern Illinois, because we have a lot of winter left no matter what the groundhog sees!

Hello! I'll be the first to admit that I would rather organize than post on social media! Since it's been a minute(s), I thought I would start 2025 by saying "Hi!" I'm Paula Ripple, Certified Professional Organizer and the owner of OrganizeWell, Inc. I've been in business for over 14 years and serve McHenry and Lake counties.

My goal when working with clients is to make the process of organizing easier so they can love the space they are in with the people they love. I never, ever judge because we all have our things we need to work on. Did I mention I struggle with social media?

I'm a podcast ju**ie, love to walk and paddle board, and the mom of 2 amazing adults (but I still have flashbacks to the toy sprawl of their youth).
