This week, we’re proud to introduce Jim Heim, a dedicated automotive professional and valued member of our AmSpirit Business Connections chapter.

As the owner of Tuffy Auto Repair, Jim has spent the last 16 years helping customers keep their vehicles safe, reliable, and running at their best. His expertise goes far beyond the repair shop—Jim is an Automotive Engineer, an ASE Master Technician, and serves on the Tuffy Advisory Council, as well as local high school and college automotive advisory boards, helping shape the future of the industry.

When he’s not under the hood, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife, Danette, a pharmacist and marketing professional. Together they’ve shared 40 years of marriage and raised their triplet sons: Sam, Chase, and Josh.

🎤 Headline Speaker Spotlight: Sergio Fuentes

Today, our headline speaker was Sergio Fuentes of Comparion Insurance Agency, who shared valuable insights on protecting what matters most through proper insurance coverage.

Sergio provided practical information on the importance of reviewing your Homeowners Declaration Page regularly to ensure your coverage accurately reflects your current needs and assets. Many homeowners are surprised to learn that gaps in coverage can exist simply because their policies haven’t been reviewed in years.

He also discussed the benefits of bundling home and auto insurance, explaining how combining policies can often lead to better coverage options, potential savings, and a more streamlined insurance experience.

Beyond insurance, we enjoyed learning more about Sergio’s background, including his involvement with the Belvidere Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Campground Association, and the Northern Illinois Landlord Association. When he’s not helping clients protect their homes and vehicles, Sergio enjoys basketball, soccer, golf, and restoring his classic 1994 Ford F-150.

The AmSpirit Training attended by Susie of The Gift Wrap Place for the McHenry County Chapter was exceptionally well done!

Chapter leaders Kaleen and Paula brought an incredible wealth of experience, knowledge, and insight to the training, inspiring attendees to expand their vision, strengthen their mission, and elevate their leadership.

The day was packed with actionable strategies that participants can immediately apply to grow their businesses, build stronger relationships, and increase collaboration within their chapters.
