When I felt the time had come to find a new set of words to live by, I started observing the world around me. When the third person (in a week!) talked to me about being raw, I felt the pull of that world. I also observed a rewilding of clients and myself. A time of reclamation of our inner spirit springing forth. I had a moment of clarity. This season, the words I will live in are: π‘…π’Άπ“Œ & π‘…π‘’π“Œπ’Ύπ“π’Ή.

𝐡𝑒𝒾𝓃𝑔 π‘…π’Άπ“Œ π’»π‘œπ“‡ 𝓂𝑒, π“‚π‘’π’Άπ“ƒπ“ˆ 𝓇𝒢𝒹𝒾𝒸𝒢𝓁 π’½π‘œπ“ƒπ‘’π“ˆπ“‰π“Ž and seeking a deeper level of understanding of myself. My rewilding is an intention of releasing certain identities and concepts which no longer serve.

Coco Chanel spoke beautifully (see what we did there ;) ) about the human experience of discovering who you truly are. Today, right now, decide to be yourself.

Have you read by BrenΓ© Brown? It's a beautiful book about finding out who you really are, deciding to be yourself, and braving the wilderness while you work through that experience.

So, if you aren't sure where to start with deciding to be yourself, pick up an inspirational book like , or talk to a close friend or therapist, find an online course or coach who can help you walk your path, and no one else's.

As BrenΓ© Brown writes, "True belonging and self-worth are not goods; we don’t negotiate their value with the world. The truth about who we are lives in our hearts. Our call to courage is to protect our wild heart against constant evaluation, especially our own. No one belongs here more than you.”

Your true authentic self belongs here, in this moment in time, in this place, and in this path. You belong.

3 Ways to Practice Self Care Today:

One: Give yourself a hug. Wrap your arms around yourself and hold tight for 20 seconds. You can put on a song, repeat a mantra to yourself, or quietly hum while hugging yourself.

Two: Leave your phone on your desk or a counter and walk outside. Take three deep breaths. If it's warm and sunny and you want to, take off your shoes and "ground" yourself. Tell yourself, "I am here, I am present, I am loved."

Three: Write with pen/ink/pencil on a piece of paper your favorite inspirational quote. If you want to, add some doodles or stickers. Cut it out and tape it to your bathroom mirror.

Self-care doesn't have to be expensive, it doesn't have to take hours, and it doesn't have to be super intense. Self-care means being mindful, being present, and setting yourself up for a more moments of joys, comfort, reminders to be present. You got this!

When you want to make changes so that you are living a life of practicing balance, you can only do this with self-awareness, mindfulness, and decisions. Changes don't happen overnight, they don't happen by themselves, and they don't follow the path we always want.

BUT! We have a lot more control than we think. We have control over our brains (our mindset), we have control over our body (our actions), and we have control over our awareness (our emotions). We do not have control over:
Other people's mindsets
Other people's actions
Other people's emotions..
We don't have control over other people. We only have control over ourselves. Take some control today, find 3 minutes to sit with yourself and become aware of what is going on, in that moment, for only 3 minutes. You can do it! Make the decision to change by becoming self-aware though .
