It was great seeing everyone at the Houston Type-In! Sorry if I didn't get to say Hi or introduce myself to everyone. I'm still dealing with a little bit of imposter syndrome being so new to the the scene. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the HH in Ampli typeface and the KMM in Executive typeface!

You want a desk anchor? THIS is a desk anchor! 1957 Royal HH, s/n HHS-21-6129274.
50 pounds of typewriter goodness.
21 inch platen.
6 CPI "Ampli" typeface.

It took me a while to figure out the vertical alignment issue. Sometimes, we have to look for patina clues! The only thing that alerted me that the shift frame extension was bent (and shortening the carriage drop for capital letters) was the worn spot where it SHOULD have been. Just needs a new ribbon, and it will be ready to hammer.

Currently is this lovely 1958 Hermes Baby in Spanish keyset. The notoriously brittle platen k**b has failed, but other than that, it looks like a pretty standard teardown, chemical clean, and rebuild.
