I recently had the pleasure of facilitating "What Does It Mean to Be a Good Neighbor in 2025" during the City of Cedar Hill's annual Community Day event. With nearly 100 engaged citizens and city leaders in attendance, we explored what it means to lead with kindness, inclusion, and awareness in today's world.

Special thanks to Janice James, the Cedar Hill Neighborhood Advisory Board, and my Leadership North Texas colleague and Mayor Pro Tem Gregory Glover, MSML, for hosting this important and inspiring event.

It is clear that the City of Cedar Hill is committed to building stronger, more connected communities—one neighbor at a time.

Spending time with the incredible Fired Up! Culture team reminded me why I love this work so much—it is about unlocking insights that help leaders grow, teams align, and organizations thrive.

As Vice President of Inclusive Leadership & Culture, I am honored to collaborate with a team so deeply committed to helping organizations lead with purpose and build cultures where people and performance thrive. Together, we are helping leaders see inclusion as a strategic advantage—one that drives stronger decisions, greater trust, and lasting impact.

I also recently earned my Birkman Certification after an in-person training in Houston—an experience that reinforced my belief in the power of self-awareness, collaboration, and purposeful leadership. A special thank-you to Rita Chen and Brett Oetting, CDME, for making those sessions so engaging and insightful!

A heartfelt thank you also to Chris Ihrig and Linda John, CDME, for their extraordinary leadership and support. I am grateful for their vision and for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful work.

This partnership beautifully complements the ongoing work I lead through The Gatson Group, and I am excited for what’s ahead as we continue to drive culture transformation together.
