Branding is not just about having a great logo or really about the product or service you have. Branding is more about the managing the expectations I have for what you are saying you can do for me.

It is a way to earn trust and for conversations—if, however, brief—to happen and lead to me wanting to come back again and again to you and your company.

For a brand to be a BRAND, it must be worth sharing. It must be worth something to me.

Ask yourself would I want to share what I am selling with my friends and family? Is what I am selling adding value to the lives of my target customers? Is it worth selling more of and getting a premium for it?

If the answer is NO, then you don’t have a brand. We aren’t just showing up to invest our emotions into what you are selling—that is what your family and friends are for. We are here because we can’t live without what you are selling.

That is when you know you have a BRAND.

Craft a compelling brand now. Add value to the customers you want to reach. Create a BRAND that will stand the test of time.

It’s a tough world out there. Business owners — large and small — have to make incredibly tough decisions. And while those decisions are being pondered over and thought about, it is important to remember some things that will be here for the long-term.

-Alignment: We will always encounter situations in which we will have to pivot or change completely. The important thing is to make sure every action is in step with who you are and what you are known to do.

-Customers: There are billions of people on this planet. No business will cater to every single one but remember that there will always be current and potential customers who are looking for something you can provide. Hone that skill, service or product and give them the very best you have.
