This iconic Berkeley home has been in the family for over 50 years! Located on a corner lot lined with established cedar trees, the stately home sits back on the lot overlooking the spacious lawn front and back. After a 9 month reconstructive facelift, this tired 20 year old traditional home emerged freshly bold, and relevant. The new cut limestone exterior announces that attention to detail and quality craftsmanship await just inside the new double glass and steel doors. Dated eyebrow arches and stock moldings were replaced with clean modern details. Wide plank rift cut and quarter sawn solid white oak flooring carries you through the home. Natural stone, black steel, and solid brass details throughout punctuate with perfection. Installation - Day 1

Art of Living MODERN is proud to lead the design efforts to restore this 1931 Grande Dame. The crown jewel of South Boulevard located in the South Boulevard Park Row Historic District rests on 1/3 acre right in the middle of the city - a rare find indeed. Complete with leaded stained glass doors and windows, and original millwork, removing the poorly executed updates made over the past 90 years is of utmost importance. With dozens of historic home restorations/renovations already completed from Swiss Avenue to Kessler Park, we can’t wait to share with you the results of this passionate effort. Meet 2601 S.
