I fondly recall my first encounter with Fred in 1996 when I secured a small contract with FedEx. At that time, I was working on my 1st book, "TQM-III," which served as an alternative to reengineering—emphasizing software implementation while often focusing on workforce reduction.
However, Fred Smith was steadfast in his commitment to preserve jobs, believing in the power of the human element behind the services his company provided to America.
His legacy exemplifies that effective business practice is more than just numbers; it’s about creating value, inspiring employees, and sustaining growth in a collaborative manner. Fred’s dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and unwavering support for his team will continue to inspire leaders across all sectors.
