"according to data the National Human Trafficking Hotline collected, 81% of s*x trafficking victims were brought in by someone intimately close to them."

Parents, classmates, social media friends, extended family, boyfriend/girlfriend, coaches, teachers, etc. are the typical traffickers. Being trafficked in the United States by a complete stranger is extremely rare.

Most trafficking victims are preyed upon by someone they know, and traffickers rarely take their victims by force.

ONLINE DEBATE - 4/29/2020

Recently proposed, the bipartisan bill “Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies Act of 2020” (or the EARN IT Act) has incited a furor within the cybersecurity community. Advocates say EARN IT will curb criminal behavior like the s*xual exploitation of children by introducing necessary regulations to powerful interactive platforms, while opponents assert these regulations will jeopardize the public’s rights to security, privacy, and free speech.

Explore the ethical and practical complexities of the EARN IT Act with a debate between security experts, moderated by a senior agent of the Secret Service Electronic Crimes Squad. RSVP for this free event on Zoom.

CyberSecurity Non-Profit's (CSNP) series continues on 4/29 with "Does EARN IT Deserve Your Support?" Explore the EARN IT Act’s ethical complexities and security implications with a debate between CSNP South Regional Director Charles Peters and co-organizer of Dallas Hacker's Association Whiskey Neon. Brian Sanders, leader of the Electronic Crimes Task Force for the Secret Service, will moderate.

To our supporters and those who care about missing and s*x-trafficked children in Texas,

Together, we have helped families, local and Federal law enforcement agencies, Child Protective Services, and S*x Trafficking Victim Advocacy Agencies recover over 150 missing youth. We primarily focus on minors, with our youngest recovered child being just 12 years old. We have also assisted in recovering a few adult trafficking victims with diminished mental capacities who were being s*x trafficked.
