It’s not! As a youth developer I feel obligated to promote this truth as much as we promote secondary education, specifically college. This fact will save many from financial and mental hardship. College is not cheap and it’s not for everyone. Secondary education (college, trade school, cool company programs that allow advancement in career) is for everyone! Support in figuring out the best route for them. If it’s clear the next step is college help them understand the grind of landing scholarships and grants. Don’t allow pride leave them to the side with a lifetime debt.
