Take your time. Tiptoe if you want.

This one's been on schedule long enough that there's nothing left to fight. Beautiful color, thick stand, nothing sneaking in at the edges. Soft enough to walk barefoot on, clean enough to just stand there and look at.

Also yes — the decorations are already up. It's September 18th. We're not going to say a word about it. 🎃

It's a small thing, honestly. Green out front, a little shade, a quiet street. Doesn't fix your week. But it does make pulling in at the end of the day feel a little better than it did before.

We think it's time for you to fall in love with your lawn again. 🌱

There was a stretch where people actually sat out front. Watered in the evening, waved at whoever walked by, took a little pride in the strip of green between the porch and the sidewalk. Somewhere along the way the lawn turned into another chore on a Saturday list.

It doesn't have to be. This one's in Dallas — St. Augustine, mature shade, thick as carpet — and it looks like that because somebody's been taking care of it season after season. That's all it is. No secret.

Tom sent this over this morning and we all just kind of stood around looking at it. 🌱

This is a St. Augustine lawn in Dallas, and look at where it's growing — under mature trees, dappled shade most of the day. That's the whole reason St. Augustine earns its keep down here. Put Bermuda under that canopy and you'd be looking at thin, patchy, bare-dirt-by-August. St. Augustine takes the shade and stays thick.

Tom's been on this route long enough to know every yard on it. He notices when something's off, and he notices when something's right. This one's right.

Big thanks to the homeowner for letting us keep it looking like this. Lawns like this don't happen by accident — they happen because somebody cared for a long time, season after season.
