Behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family, and a story. 🎀

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ahava honors those facing breast cancer, celebrates survivors, and remembers those we have lost. We also recognize the caregivers and loved ones walking beside them.

Support can be a listening ear, a prepared meal, a ride to an appointment, or simply showing up. Reach out to someone this month and ask, “How can I support you?”

A new space for the same heart-centered care.

Ahava Home Care Services now has an office home where families, caregivers, and community partners can connect with us for compassionate support, guidance, and care planning.

We are grateful for this next step and excited to continue serving Cobb, Fulton, and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area with excellence, dignity, and love.

Today my daughter looked in my work bag and asked, “Mom, what are those little mats for?”

I told her I use them whenever I visit patients so I don’t place my bag, tablet, or supplies directly on their furniture.

Her immediate response was, “That’s offensive.”

It made me stop and think.

For me, it has nothing to do with judging someone’s home. It’s about infection prevention and protecting every patient I care for. As a nurse, I may visit several homes in one day. Using a clean barrier helps reduce the chance of carrying germs from one home to another, just as we wash our hands and disinfect our equipment between visits.

My goal is always to protect my patients—not to offend them.

I’m curious…what are your thoughts? If your nurse or healthcare provider used a clean barrier before placing their belongings down, would you see it as thoughtful or offensive?
