This kids bathroom went from dated and disconnected to sweet, polished, and built to grow with them.

We reworked the room with soft green stripes, sculptural wood mirrors, classic sconces, warm brass details, a calmer vanity design, and shower finishes that feel fresh without feeling trendy.

Because kids spaces still need to work hard, we focused on the details that make everyday life easier too — hooks, storage, durable finishes, and a design that still feels connected to the rest of the home.

The goal was never to make it feel “kid-themed.”
It was to make it feel charming now, classic later, and functional every single day.

Some design decisions need to happen before construction starts.

Not because they are decorative.
Because they affect the way the home functions, flows, and feels long after move-in.

For this project, we are thinking through the main living spaces, kitchen layout, appliance flow, storage, built-ins, lighting, stone, cabinetry, and all the smaller moments that make a home feel intentional instead of pieced together later.

This is why we prefer to be involved early. By the time construction is moving, many of the most important decisions have already been made.

New Project Loading: Another ranch project, but a completely different design story.

This project and Cool Cowboy both have land, scale, and a love for western character — but the design direction is completely different.

Cool Cowboy leaned into timber, stone, leather, pattern, texture, and collected cabin warmth.
This home is taking a softer and more tailored approach: lighter woods, refined cabinetry, quieter contrast, warm stone, softened architecture, and we will definitely bed adding in western influence that feels subtle instead of literal.

That is the point of a custom design process.

The goal is not to repeat a style. The goal is to understand the home, the setting, and the client — then create something that feels specific to them.

Same ranch influence. Completely different story.

The Great Room reveal is here.

And honestly, this is the room that had to get it right.

It is the first space that really tells you what this home is about — the timber beams, the stone fireplace, the oversized windows, the views, the bar, the scale. There was already so much character here, but the furnishings needed to bring it all together in a way that felt updated, layered, and still completely at home in a cabin setting.

For Cool Cowboy, we leaned into western character without letting the room feel overly themed. Leather, velvet, shearling, patterned textiles, warm wood, collected art, and styling details all worked together to give the space depth, comfort, and a point of view.
This room is big, but we did not want it to feel too formal or untouchable. We wanted it to feel grounded, comfortable, and ready for real life — with just enough edge to make it memorable.

Introducing the Great Room at Cool Cowboy.

A whole-home furnishing project with western character, cabin warmth, and livable luxury.

If your home has the space, the views, or the architecture — but still does not feel fully pulled together — full-service furnishing may be what gives it YOUR story.

From mismatched cabin to Cool Cowboy.

This home already had the views, the timber, the stone, and the character — but the interiors needed a clearer story.

For this whole-home furnishing project, we brought in western character, Colorado cabin warmth, updated furnishings, layered textiles, art, accessories, and final styling to make every room feel connected.

Not themed. Not overdone. Just collected, elevated, and completely at home on the property.

Cool Cowboy is officially here.

First full room reveal is next.

A furnished home is not always a finished home.

You can have the sofa, the chairs, the rug, the lamps, and the coffee table ... and the room can still feel like something is missing.

That missing piece is usually not one more piece of furniture.

It is the point of view.

The scale. The texture. The lighting. The art. The styling. The way one room connects to the next. The details that make a space feel layered, personal, and fully considered.

That is where full-service furnishing changes the outcome.

It is not just about selecting pieces. It is about creating a home that feels complete from room to room — with the major furnishings, finishing details, and final styling all working together.

And that is exactly why the Cool Cowboy project has been such a strong example of what whole-home furnishing can do.

The full reveal continues this week.

Cool Cowboy, not country theme.

This whole-home furnishing project started with a house that already had the views, the timber, the stone, and the character. What it needed was a design direction that made all of those pieces feel intentional, current, and connected.

The goal was western character with Colorado cabin warmth but make it updated and more modern — layered, collected, and elevated without feeling themed.
This was not about filling a large home with furniture. It was about giving the whole home one complete story.

The design challenge: bring in character without letting it become “too much.”
The full Cool Cowboy reveal starts this week.
First up: the Great Room.

The most inviting living rooms are designed with intention.

A thoughtful layout sets the tone for everything—how guests gather, how conversation flows, and how a family lives in the space day after day. In this room, every decision was made to create balance: refined enough for entertaining, comfortable enough for real life, and beautiful from every angle.

That is the difference thoughtful design makes. It does not just improve how a room looks. It changes how it lives.

The why behind this design came down to function.

This husband-and-wife duo both works from home. He runs an insurance agency, and she is a writer and teacher. Without a true office in the house, they were trying to make space for two very different kinds of work without the setup either of them really needed.
So we turned an underused fourth bedroom into a shared office designed to support both of their businesses and styles in one cohesive space.

The goal was simple: create a room that feels polished, works well, and makes working from home easier for both of them.

Because good design should do more than look good. It should solve the right problem.
