This is what I feed my 8-month-old before 12 hours of sleep👇🏼

Not cereal. Not pouches.
Real, nutrient-dense food 🤍

meat stock + eggs + butter
• choline + iron + healthy fats → brain development
• collagen + minerals → gut support
• protein → actually keeps him full

hot take: cereal isn’t the answer 👀

✨ In addition to solids, babies still need 28-32 oz of breastmilk/formula in 24 hrs and 8-month-olds can absolutely get that in during the day ✨

How to get your 7 month old to nap longer than 37 minutes 👇🏼

It starts with this:
👉🏼 Laying them down fully awake

Sleep cycles are only 30–40 minutes

If your baby is rocked to sleep, they usually won’t connect cycles because it’s a skill that must be practiced

Long naps come from falling asleep independently… so they can fall back to sleep independently

Don’t skip the basics:
• Appropriate wake windows
• Dark environment
• Sleep sack
• Consistency

This is how naps finally stretch from 37 minutes to an hour and a half❤️

Sleep training isn’t cruel.

What’s cruel is when both you and your baby are completely exhausted and not getting the rest you need.

If you can and want to hold your baby for every nap and every night wake, that’s such a beautiful thing. I did it with my first and loved every second. But when you have other kids, a house to run, and a body that desperately needs rest, it’s okay to need something different.

Babies need between 3 and 5 hours of daytime sleep during their first year. That’s a lot of holding, rocking, and bouncing. It’s amazing if you can do it, but if you can’t, it's ok to make a change.

Sleep training isn’t selfish or about leaving your baby to cry. It’s about gently helping them get the sleep their little brain and body need to grow and thrive, while giving you space to tend to your older kids.

I’ve been the tired mom running on coffee and prayers, trying to do it all. You don’t have to stay there. There’s a way for everyone in your family to get the rest they need.

Morning routine with my 3.5 month old 🌅

With the time change comes earlier mornings and earlier bedtimes ‼️

Here’s our current routine 👇🏼

🍼 6:00–6:30 — nurse + morning snuggles

☀️ 6:30–7:00 — watch the sunrise (helps set his internal clock + supports better naps + night time sleep)

💪🏼 7:00–7:20 — tummy time + play on the floor

🍼 7:20–7:50 — 3 oz pumped bottle to top him off

🤍 7:50–7:55 — snuggles + laid down awake

😴 8:00 AM — asleep for a long morning nap

Starting the day with sunlight, full feeds, and a predictable routine makes such a difference ☀️💤
