Rolling w/this new normal can be unsettling. Revisiting the familiar and comfortable can be calming and re-assuring. These fireball whiskey soaked chocolate covered cherries are a favorite yearly tradition we look forward to every July 4th. I thought about not making them this year, but with a little encouragement from my hubby & son, it sure did brighten the day and lift our spirits.

Thank you to all the people out in the field putting themselves at risk but also thank you to those who are staying in as much as possible to help flatten the curve and beat this thing.

I read an article this morning about how people, even though we are acting mostly independently right now, we are working together harder than we ever have. What a truly sweet beautiful thing.. working side by side, even while socially distancing ourselves, for the greater good of all of us.

My heart melts for those of you who are struggling and/or experiencing loss. Let someone know you are in need. We can all act as first responders by helping others in need and maybe less fortunate than ourselves.

~My hubby & I as we socially distance ourselves from others enjoy our daily afternoon tea. 🍵
~I was encouraged and my spirits lifted by the subtle but very real messages on the tea bags.
~These are challenging times for sure my friends, but we are all going to make it through. ~Strides and growth can happen even during times of uncertainty.
