Had a great time at the LeClaire Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K today! Great work as always Lori McFate. And the Village Zombie Run beanie was perfect in the cold. Stay tuned, we will be announcing our 2026 schedule around the first of the year!

Almost 2 years ago I met the organizer of the "Funnest 5K in the QCA" Lori McFate at the LeClaire Ugly Christmas Sweater 5K. It is always a great time and I look forward to running it again in a couple weeks.

This is the part of what inspired me to start Burke Events, LLC with the mission "Building Community in the Quad Cities" and launched with QC Veterans Festival in 2024.

The world is always busy. So for the past few years I have been taking every chance I can to get out, meet new people and have fun. From dressing like a crazy person, to fishing with the kids, to hunting, to building a fire in the back yard.

Yes, things are hard and it is easy to get overwhelmed by the world as bills and responsibilities pile up.

Over this holiday season I encourage everyone to go out and meet some new people, smile, and remember all the blessings in your life.
