Are you open to change?
Story from our founder:
I had two managers who worked for me back when we first got things started. We were navigating new systems, honing our processes. Not all changes were happening. I remember one manager was always excited and coming up with new ideas or suggestions, if it was better, or there wasn't a reason why we weren't doing it that way, we would give it a try. The other manager became frustrated saying "I just don't understand why we're always changing things all the time!" I looked at her and honesty replied, "There's only one thing I can promise you that won't change- we will always be open to change when that change is a benefit or a better way."
Growth requires change. You can't be stuck in the mud and so stuck in your way of doing things that you ignore pathways to progress.
That's how giants like Blockbuster get beat out by Netflix. Blockbuster wasn't willing to adapt and change, and when online streaming took over the movie rental business, they lost. Good leaders are willing to adjust, improve, and evolve especially when it leads to better care, stronger teams, and better outcomes.
