No one deploys an energy storage system without a comprehensive plan for construction and commissioning, so why are similar plans for emergency management, decommissioning, continuity of operations, and disposal so rare? While "time may be money," uptime and returning to operations as quickly and safely as possible after an emergency is essential. ESRG is proud to work with clients to develop emergency management plans and support a prompt return to operations.
For example, recently, ESRG leveraged their expertise in large-scale battery fire testing to perform disposal on a fire-damaged energy storage system. Working with their hazmat partner, Buckeye Elm Contracting, ESRG disassembled, evaluated for recycling, documented for investigation, and packed away the entire system in two and half days without further incident despite the stranded energy risk.
When operation matters and disposal must be done rapidly, such as in occupied spaces, ESRG provides industry-leading expertise to ensure a prompt and safe return to operations while investigating the cause.
