Today we loaded 1/2 of the plastics 1s & 2s we have been collecting for 3.5 years. The kicker...I will probably have to pay for them to be recycled. Some commodities like glass and aluminum I get paid for them. This is 37 bales.

Let that sink in. No one wants plastics. Do the world a favor and reduce your plastic use. This doesn't go away.

**♻️ FREE Curbside Recycling is Coming to Evergreen! 🌲**

We're excited to announce that **Foothills Recycling** is launching **FREE Residential Curbside Recycling** beginning **August 1, 2026!**

Our program uses a **multi-stream collection system** to keep recyclables cleaner and increase the amount that can be recycled. For now, simply use your own containers and separate your recyclables by material.

**What you'll separate:**
🟢 Glass
📄 Paper
📦 Cardboard (placed inside a cardboard box)

**Single collection container for:**
🔩 Scrap metal, aluminum & steel cans
♻️ Plastics #1 & #2
🛍️ Plastic film (bagged)
🧊 Styrofoam (bagged in medium-sized pieces)

Together, we can reduce waste, conserve valuable resources, and make recycling easier for our community.
