Nice job in New Alexandria. Customer was having water issues allowing water to enter his garage and start causing the driveway to start popping in spots. We recommended doing a new French drain along the edge of the driveway. After digging within the first 15 ft we found the issue. The corrugated drain was covered and wrapped with geo mat. After years of use the mat was fully clogged not allowing water to enter the pipe. We came in installed a new 60ft sdr35 perforated pipe with all stone backfill, this allows water to enter the pipe without any issues. Also, they had us add a small parking spot and remove the old front porch which was falling apart.
We will always recommend using perforated pipe and not corrugated pipe in a French drain. They are a little bit more expensive but will last a lot longer and more structural to drive across.
